Welcome to Peking University Experimental School – Jiaxing (PKUES-JX).
I am thrilled that you have decided to view our school’s website in order to learn more about the wonderful students, staff, and programs we have to offer. Please note that our website is going through a redevelopment phase and therefore some of the items on the website may not be up to date.
We are about to embark upon a new school year with great enthusiasm and anticipation of new opportunities that will enhance our instructional program and school community as a whole. PKUES- JX has only been operating since 2016 and this is the third year. Often, some of the biggest challenges of the school are getting it approved by the government, building the facility and recruiting families/students and teachers. I would like to extend my congratulations and sincere gratitude to all of those hard working and diligent people who were an important part of getting the school started.
We now move into the next stage of growth. This means that we have to evaluate all of our programs and policies to ensure we are doing our best to maximize student personal development and academic achievement. This will take time to get all information available, and to review how we can use generally accepted best practices of education at PKUES – JX.
We are an IB World School; currently we offer the Diploma Programme at grades 11-12. I am happy to announce we are now at the beginning stages of intending to authorize for the PYP & MYP Programmes. When fully authorized, PKUES- Jiaxing will become a full continuum IB World School.
Our students come from families who seek a school community where their children’s intellectual strengths and interests will be challenged while their social and emotional growth is supported. We encourage you to visit our beautiful school and see that we are a school committed to children, with a focus on students planning to do their post-secondary education overseas. Our commitment at Peking University Experimental School - Jiaxing is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become proficient in English and Mandarin, innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century. While the core curriculum is provided for all students, we believe that it is critical to provide leadership opportunities, character education and exposure to the technologies in order to prepare students to compete with their global counterparts.
High standards and expectations for each student in regard to academic performance, after school activity participation, and responsible citizenship are important at our school. Full participation in academic and co-curricular programs and a willingness to act responsibly as an individual within our educational environment are the factors that enable all to have a successful and enjoyable year.

Our admissions selection process focuses on admitting students and families who benefit from and contribute to our distinctive approach to teaching and learning.
